DOWAGIAC — Visiting Otsego blanked Dowagiac 2-0 in a Wolverine Conference match Wednesday night.

“We played hard and controlled most of the game, but were unlucky on the goals against,” said Dowagiac coach Mike Williams.

The Chieftains are back on the pitch Monday when they host South Haven at 5:30 p.m.

The Dowagiac JV soccer team defeated visiting Sturgis 2-1.

Cole Weller had both goals for the Chieftains, while Ethan Saylor had an assist.

“We put a complete game together today,” said Dowagiac coach Joey Pasternak. “From front to back, everyone played with high energy and high intensity. We are a tough team to beat when we put in the effort and hard work for two halves not just one.”
