LETTER: Standing up against the the League of ‘Democrat’ Women Voters

Bravo, Congressman Fred Upton, State Rep Kim LaSata, Brad Paquette and Pauline Wendzel for standing up against the the League of “Democrat” Women Voters!

For too long, the League of Women Voters has masqueraded as a “non partisan organization” while only ever promoting liberal candidates and causes. Now that the truth is out, they have taken to the press swiping at Republicans for not participating.

Of course what they fail to mention is that LWV of Michigan is presently suing Republicans across Michigan in order to advance the Democrat-backed ballot initiative on redistricting (League of Women Voters of Michigan v. Johnson).

In fact, they even name our own Sen. Proos, and former Reps. Pscholka and Tyler, as part of that suit. And they wonder why other local Republicans don’t want to associate.

The real shame is that Mrs. LaSata and Miss Wendzel, both fantastic female candidates, can’t even be guaranteed fair treatment from an organization that claims to advocate for women.

Each of our Republican candidates are appearing in multiple candidate forums this Fall and I look forward to those truly nonpartisan debates.
