Webster Memorial Library to host Amish, Mennonite program

DECATUR — A special program detailing the unique history of local Amish and Mennonites is coming to southwest Michigan.

The Webster Memorial Library, in Decatur, will present the history and culture of the Amish and Mennonites during a special event at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 11.

Susan Miller, managing director of the Menno-Hof in Shipshewana, will speak and provide an insider’s view into the unique world of the Anabaptists. Miller, who grew up Amish, will also share her personal experiences.
