POKAGON TOWNSHIP — A 17-year-old Niles resident was injured Wednesday in a single-person car crash on M-51 and Thompson Road in Pokagon Township, according to the Cass County Sheriff Richard Behnke.

The accident occurred around 6:56 a.m. when Cristian Wilson, was traveling east on M-51 and lost control of his vehicle and ran off the road hitting a tree. Wilson complained of minor head pains and was transported to Lakeland Hospital in Niles.  No alcohol or drugs were suspected to be contributing to this accident, police said.
