When President Trump gave a speech concerning withdrawal from the meeting with Kim Jong-un he mentioned talking with the leaders of Japan and South Korea and receiving assurances that they would shoulder much of the cost of any financial burden caused by the use of military force.

He did not say how much they would pay for each life lost in such an encounter.
