Photo story: Downtown gardens

NILES — Logen Mehl, Caleb Mehl, Cheryl Wilkie, and Alena Mehl put together their beach themed garden downtown  in honor of Autumn Mehl and John Lidecker.

Autumn was Logen, Caleb, and Alena’s mother and Cheryl’s daughter who passed away two years ago on Valentine’s Day in a car accident. John was a family friend and local artist who made signs for businesses. He was designing an “in memory” for Cheryl on her Jeep and passed away soon after he finished it due to a heart attack. Below are other gardens made from businesses downtown.
