Dorothy J. (Howard) Schuck, 83, of Niles, passed away at her home on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, with her loving husband of 60 years by her side.

Dorothy was born on June 12, 1934, to the late Richard T. and Hassie R. (Reed) Howard.

She graduated from Riley High School class of 1952, in South Bend.

On Oct. 4, 1957, she wed Jack A. Schuck at a ceremony in South Bend and to that union two sons were born.

Dorothy worked for Bendix Honeywell for 31 years and retired in 1996.

Dorothy was very devoted to her faith. She had given her life to the Lord at the tender age of 15. Her faith sustained her during her 30 year on and off battle with cancer.

Dorothy adored her family and loved spending time with them. Tending her flower garden filled with roses gave her much joy. Their home was always open to friends and family as she shared her gift of hospitality.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Mary Olson and Shirley Lomatsch.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Jack Schuck of Niles; her children Daniel H. (Pamela) Schuck of Niles and David (Cristina) Schuck of Clay City, Indiana; four grandchildren, Nicolas, Christopher, Patrick, and Madeline; and a sister Linda (Michael) Tezich of Elkhart.

Visiting with family and friends will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 26, at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 521 E. Main St. Niles.
