Photo story: Celebrity Chef visits Ring Lardner Middle School

NILES — Chef Jet Tilakamonkul, also known as Tila, visited Ring Lardner Middle School yesterday to teach the students how to cook different types of modern Asian dishes.

The Asian menu was developed specifically for the students at Ring Lardner Middle School, in partnership with Chartwell K12, the dining service that provides quality and nutritious meals to Niles Community Schools.

Students were able to take home recipes and were able to meet Tila and take pictures with him.

Tila challenged the students by asking them questions. He also gave away chef hats to those who answered correctly, signed copies of pictures, and a signed cookbook for the raffle winner.
