Vikings tie Bucks; Bobcats win again

NILES — Host Niles split a pair of matches with Brandywine and Buchanan last Friday.

The Bobcats blanked the Vikings 8-0 before Niles split with Buchanan 4-4.

Brandywine then won its own invitational the following day at Plym Park by sweeping the doubles flights.

Winning matches for Niles against the Bucks were Carly Barton and Sarah Shepherd, Maddy Miller and Grace Lister, Kylie Morris and Sala Jaber, along with Allie Robinson and Calee Blaske.

Winning for the Bucks were Maya Schunknect, Kirsten Vite, Natalie Riley and Hanna Vernon.

Winning flight championships for the Bobcats on Saturday were Hanna Martin and Ava Moody, Lauren Srmek and Olivia Whitney, Carrigan Duffield and Alysa Marlin, as well as, Katie Stratton and Caitlyn Stanner.

Dowagiac tennis dropped a 5-3 decision to Coloma last week.

Winning matches for the Chieftains were Ally Hale, Rebecca Franklin and Raegan Wild.
