LETTER: Global warming

Published 8:00 am Friday, March 2, 2018

What if global warming ceased because we all took the misuse of fossil fuels seriously, thus resulting in a decrease in the number of deaths from hurricanes, floods, and fires?

What if there were gun regulations so that fewer people were killed?  What if we quit selling and using weapons of war to kill uncounted numbers of people around the world? And what if we started providing assistance to people who were hungry, cold, and sick?

We could then concentrate on living in harmony with each other and in a world of finite resources.

We must convince our legislators that money is no substitute for doing what is right to preserve the beauty and abundance of this country for our grandchildren.
