NILES — Five Niles churches are hosting special community Lenten services on Wednesday evenings during Lent.

A light supper and fellowship will be available before each service and start at 6 p.m. The services will follow at 7 p.m.

The schedule is as follows:

• 6 p.m. Wednesday: First Presbyterian Church, 13 S. fourth St., Rev. Wayne Shearier will be preaching.

• 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28: St. John’s United Church of Christ, 601 Sycamore St., Elder Barry Borst will be preaching.

• 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 7: St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 219 S. State, Pastor Ray Fulbright preaching.

• 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 14: Trinity Episcopal Church, 9 S. Fourth St., Rev. Fran Lane-Lawrence preaching.

• 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 21: Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1819 Oak St., Father Christian Johnston preaching.
