Rachel Francis, 86, of Niles, passed away at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018.

She was born on Feb. 25, 1931, in Little Current, Canada, to the late Wellington and Eliza (Owl) Jacobs.

On Dec. 3, 1949, Rachel married Henry John Francis at a ceremony in Canada. He preceded her in death on July 4, 2016.

Rachel worked for many years at the Niles Simplicity Pattern Plant. She will be remembered as a warm, loving lady who was always willing to help anyone.

She is survived by several extended family members as well as a special friend, Sandra Moore of Granger.

In keeping with her wishes, no public services will be held and she will be entombed next to her husband at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens in the Hope Mausoleum.
