Winter Reading Program

ALL DAY

Visitors may fill out a slip for each book they read during the library’s 2018 Winter Reading Program, which runs through Feb. 17. The staff will host prize drawings for children, teens and adults every week.

An Hour of Code (adults)

6 to 7 p.m.

Adults who wish to learn computer programming are encouraged to stop by the library for An Hour of Code. People will use the library’s four Chromebooks, and will start with the basics of HTML. Later, guests may show off their work by hooking into the library’s projector and running it on the big screen. For adults.

Game Day

3 p.m.

Teens are invited to come play together on the library’s Xbox 360 game consoles in the youth area. The staff has an assortment of games and four controllers, as well as tabletop games.  Each round lasts 30 minutes so that everyone will get a turn.

Author visit: Campfire Stu

1 to 2 p.m.

Local author/performer Mike Struwin will be at the Dowagiac District Library to read his new book, “Campfire Stu,” and to perform the songs that go along with it. There will be copies of the book available for purchase.
