Edwardsburg jumped out to a 32-23 halftime lead and then outscored Lakeshore (3-4) 28-17 in the second half.

“We turned the ball over a ton and gave up a lot of easy baskets tonight,” he said. “Lakeshore came to play and outworked us all game and somehow we were able to come away with a win. We have to start being more consistent in what we do. It’s always nice to go into Lakeshore and come away with a victory.”

Besides Zarycki’s offensive outburst, the Eddies also got 12 points from Abbey Krugh and six points from Alexa Markel.

The Lancers were led by Natalie Stampfly and Lachelle Knox’s 11 points.

Edwardsburg shot 44 percent from the field (10-21) compared to 41 percent (7-22) for Lakeshore. The Eddies held a 20-17 advantage in rebounds with Zarycki leading the way with a game-high 11.
