Deputies with the department were dispatched around 5 p.m. to a personal injury crash on Topash Street near Townhall Road in Silver Creek Township.

The accident occurred when 63-year-old Joseph Van Tuyle, of Dowagiac, struck an eastbound vehicle driven by 64-year-old Mikel Matthews, of San Antonio, with his snowmobile after failing to yield at a signed snowmobile crossing.
