Throwback Thursday: Beckwith Theatre’s stories transcend generations
Before it became a theater in 1994, Beckwith Theatre Company was a Methodist Church. The theater also served as a stop on the orphan train.
Philo D. Beckwith, the founder of Round Oak Stove Company started the Beckwith Theatre. Unfortunately, the original building was torn down. The area is now Beckwith Park.
The fourth annual improv comedy night at Beckwith Theatere will be on Feb. 23. The family show will be at 7:30 p.m. and the adult show will be at 9 p.m.
