MILTON TOWNSHIP — A 39-year-old Niles man was injured in a one-car crash on Monday morning, according to Cass County Sheriff Richard Behnke.

The crash occurred on Anderson Road near Runkle Street in Milton Township, when Michael Abarca, of Niles was traveling south bound on Anderson Road. Abarca ran off the road and struck a tree for an unknown reason, police said.

Abarca was transported by ambulance to the hospital for treatment and evaluation. It is believed that Abarca was wearing his seatbelt and not under the influence of intoxicants, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Department.
