Authorities are investigating a two-car crash that occurred at Third and Silverbrook streets at about 2 p.m. Monday.

It is unclear how the crash occurred, but the accident involved a black Volkswagen Passat and red GMC Sonoma. The Volkswagen appeared to have sustained the most damage and had tipped on the driver’s side.

Niles Police Sgt. Scott Swanson said there were no injuries reported.

Third Street between Superior and Silverbrook were closed for more than half an hour as emergency crews and a tow truck worked to clear the scene.

Responding authorities included two units from the Niles Fire Department, SMCAS ambulance, Niles Police Department and Berrien County Sherriff’s Department. More information on the crash will be revealed with the results of the investigation.
