Cass County Conservation District to host annual meeting Dec. 5

VANDALIA — The public is invited to attend the Cass County Conservation District’s annual meeting and elections, which will be at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, at the Vandalia Community Center, 18035 State St. (M-60), Vandalia.

The event will open with the board of directors election, display and appetizers, followed by a presentation by Steve Law titled “History of Michigan’s Conservation Partnership.” Law’s talk will focus on the history of conservation districts and their accomplishments in protecting and preserving the country’s natural resources for the citizens’ use and enjoyment.

The Cass County Conservation District will also be recognizing winners of its annual awards, and will update attendees about its various programs. Dinner will follow the presentations.

North Star Landscaping, Farm Bureau, Dussel’s Farm Market and others are sponsoring the event.
