With near freezing temperatures outside that morning, it was only fitting that many of the children gathered in Beckwith Park early Saturday were decked out in spine-chilling outfits. The Dowagiac Optimist Club hosted its annual Halloween Parade with more than 30 children participating. After the club members judged the attendees’ Halloween costumes, the Dowagiac Police and Fire Departments led them on a march through downtown.
