Prior to taking the field against the Paw Paw Redskins Friday evening, the Dowagiac Chieftains and the rest of the Dowagiac community lining the stands of Chris Taylor Alumni Field honored those who have battled or are currently battling breast cancer during the annual Pink Out Game. People who wore pink to the stadium that evening were admitted in for $1, with each contribution going toward the Lee Memorial Foundation’s annual Tree of Love campaign, which raises money to pay for mammograms for Cass County women who are uninsured or underinsured. Members of the Dowagiac Honor Credit Union branch also presented a $500 check to the foundation during the game.
