Monday, Oct. 23

Cardio challenge

8 to 8:45 a.m.

This low-impact, high-energy class will challenge participants’ entire bodies with cardio, strength training and balance exercises. Mat exercises are also incorporated for a well-rounded workout. Cost is $25 per month or $5 for walk-ins.

Vim and vigor transitions

9 to 9:45 a.m.

This workout is both in and out of a chair and focuses on heart health, strength, flexibility and balance. Cost is $25 per month or $5 for walk-ins.

S.E.A.T. (sit, exercise, and tone) 

10 to 10:45 a.m.

This chair-based class is great for anyone concerned with balance and stability. The focus is on maintaining flexibility and strength. Cost is $25 per month or $5 for walk-ins.

Tai chi

11 a.m. and 6 to 7 p.m.

Guests can improve their posture, strength of hips, thighs and core with this gentle mind body exercise. Cost is $20 per month. Doors are locked right at 6 p.m. so attendees should arrive early for the evening class.

Bingo

12:45 p.m.

Follow the lunch hour by playing for fun and prizes. Cost is $2.25.

Creating Confident Caregivers 

5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The Cass County COA is offering a six-week “Creating Confident Caregivers” class for those caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease or another form of memory loss. This program is supported by Region IV Area Agency on Aging. Classes are free; however, donations are appreciated. Call Keryl Conkright at (269) 445-8110, ext. 222, to register. Respite care can be arranged when registering.

Chronic/Long-Term Care

1 to 2 p.m.

Come learn about the importance of Chronic Care and Long-Term Care from John Seculoff, with Edward Jones.

Wednesday, Oct. 25

Flu shots

9 to 11 a.m.

The COA will be hosting flu vaccinations. Flu vaccine and high dose (65+) will be avaiable. Medicare Part B: bring card and ID and for all other insurance. A receipt will be given. Call the COA to schedule an appointment

FSC Musicians

11 a.m.

People who enjoy playing musical instruments are encouraged to join other music enthusiasts and jam with the FSC Musicians.

Champagne flutes

1:30 p.m.

This group of flute players meets Fridays and will practice for performances at nursing homes and other venues.
