Niles leadership development organization to host open houses

The Four Flags Toastmasters Club will host open houses from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. and 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21 at Niles Township Hall, 308 Bell Road, Niles.

Both events are free and open to the public.

On Tuesday morning, the open house will focus on how Toastmasters can lead to personal growth. Jim Matthews, senior pastor of Lakeshore Christian Church in Stevensville, will be the featured speaker. He is a member of the Four Flags Toastmasters Club in Niles and is the Toastmaster’s Area 21 director for District 62 this year.

Tuesday evening will feature the Four Flags club president, Doug Knapmen. The focus of the meeting will also highlight personal growth.

The Four Flags Toastmasters Club meets from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. every Thursday and 6 to 7 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of the month at the Niles Township Hall. It is a community club with membership open to all.

Toastmasters International is a world leader in communication and leadership development. The organization has more than 352,000 memberships. Members improve their speaking and leadership skills by attending one of the 16,400 clubs in 141 countries that make up the global network. There are four Toastmasters clubs in Berrien County.
