Small government helps state businesses grow

As the head of a statewide construction trade association, I see firsthand how high federal taxes and an increasing number of government regulations have negatively impacted Michigan’s construction industry, which employs more than 160,000 people in the state.
This applies to business overall: CNBC ranks the state a dismal 30th in “business friendliness.”
Michiganders are fed up with this environment and demand pro-business tax reform now.
It explains why, for the first time in 28 years, the people of Michigan voted a Republican into the White House that promised to bring tax relief and regulatory reform to the thousands of Michigan businesses struggling to keep their doors open.
Michigan lawmakers in Washington must listen to their constituents back home and support President Trump’s commitment to cutting taxes for businesses large and small. These businesses create countless jobs in the state and nationwide.
Only through tax relief can they expand and boost the economy.
