Bub Pingel, of Niles, celebrated his 80th birthday on July 27. He was born on July 27, 1937, in Niles.

Bub is married to Helen Pingel. Their children are Tim (Marilyn) Pingel.

Bub is a retired National Standard employee.

He enjoys mushroom hunting, watching golf and working on his hot rods.
