DOWAGIAC — A traffic crash at Pokagon Highway and Dailey Road has left two injured, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies were called to the crash at 3:23 p.m. Monday.

The crash occurred when Anastasia Chapman, 23, of Elkhart, was southbound on Dailey Road and failed to yield at the intersection of Pokagon Highway. Chapman then hit a westbound vehicle driven by Rachelle Dodge, 20, of Dowagiac.

Both drivers were treated at the scene and released.

Deputies have determined that safety belts were used and alcohol was not a factor in the crash, though the case remains under investigation at this time.
