An unidentified suspect allegedly stole money from The Seven Days Party Place, 303 N. Fifth St., in Niles around 3 a.m. Saturday morning.

The burglar broke into the store through a boarded up window on the east side of the building and took approximately $1,500 from the cash register, according to Chad Mitchell, detective/lieutenant with the Niles Michigan Police Department.

Video surveillance captured only the silhouette of a single person stealing money from the register. As of Tuesday afternoon, a description of the suspect had not been released. Authorities are not sure if the suspect left the crime scene on foot or by vehicle.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the robbery.
