The Niles fire department joined communities across the state in remembering the life of Fire Chief Ed Switalski of Comstock Township, who passed away June 15. Switalski’s funeral was at noon June 21 at the Wings Event Center. The service included a 24-mile procession where Portage and Kalamazoo trucks provided flag duty. (Submitted photos)
