It is that time of year again.

It is time for Buchanan to more than double in size as the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship Series invades RedBud.

The stars of the professional motocross series draw huge numbers of fans to Buchanan.

If you have never been to RedBud on Fourth of July weekend you are really missing something.

Blake Baggett and Eli Tomac are in a heated battle atop the 450cc standings, while Zach Osborne has a huge lead in the 250cc Class over Mitchell Harrison.

I found out over the weekend that Edwardsburg’s Dillon Finley has returned to racing after a year off and will be trying to get into the field at RedBud Saturday.

You will be able to read more about Finley and his attempt to return to motocross racing in Friday’s Dowagiac Daily News.

He will be on hand Thursday as I attend the annual media day at the track.

I am looking forward to speaking with Dillon and racing at RedBud.
