All-State softball players named

Edwardsburg’s Savannah Dixon and Layne Stinnett have been named Division 2 All-State players by the Michigan High School softball Coaches Association.
Stinnett, who was selected at third base, hit .455 with 14 doubles, 1 triple, eight home runs and 38 RBIs.
Stinnett is a two-year all-stater, while Dixon was an honorable mention selection as a sophomore.
Dixon, a second baseman, hit .417 with five doubles, a triple, seven home runs and 33 RBIs.
Dowagiac’s Amiyah Smith was an honorable mention selection as a utility player.
She hit .478 with 11 doubles, two triples, five home runs and 30 RBIs. She scored 43 runs in 36 games and stole 21 bases.
Lakeshore’s Olivia Freehling and Taylor Smith were first-team selections, while Mahri Younger and Lindsay Zavoral were honorable mention picks.
