Cass District Library hosts summer reading programs

The Cass District Library’s Summer Library Club: “Build a Better World” is in full swing.

There are a variety of family friendly programs happening in July at all of the Cass District library branches. All programs are free of charge.

Some programs have limited space available and require registration.

Main Library July Schedule at a Glance:

Thursdays: July 6, 13, 20 and 27 — Storytime, 10 a.m.

Tuesday, July 11 — Build It! Kids Maker Kits, 10 a.m. (sign-up required, call 269-357-7822 to register) Bring a hammer and a Phillips-head screw driver

Tuesday, July 18 — Stack It Up! by Mr. Jim, 10 a.m. Interactive cup stacking program for kids

Thursday, July 20 — Science of Submarines, 2 p.m. Recommended age is elementary and up

Monday, July 24 — Preparing for the Great American Solar Eclipse, 10 a.m. Learn basics about solar eclipses and how to view them safely

Tuesday, July 25 — The Cold War and the Submarine, 6 p.m. “Where Were You during the Cuban Missile Crisis?” recommended age is high school and up

Aug. 2-4: Annual book sale, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Friday is $1 per bag day.
