Hall resigns from board of education

Douglas Hall, who has spent the past 17 years as a member of the Edwardsburg board of education, has resigned according to Edwardsburg Superintendent Sherman Ostrander.

Hall, is the board secretary, tendered his resignation effective June 12, in order to relocate to Columbus, Ohio.

The Edwardsburg Public School District is seeking applications for the vacant position on the board.

An individual will be appointed to fill the vacancy until the November 2018 elections have been held and certified, and the newly elected board member has been sworn in to fill the remainder of Hall’s term.

Interested persons must submit a letter expressing interest in the board position and their qualifications for the position to the attention of Edwardsburg Board of Publications President Birdella Holdread, at the district office no later than 3:30 p.m. June 30.
