The Old Rugged Cross Foundation is sponsoring a Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction on Friday, June 9 at Pokagon United Methodist Church.

Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. for customers to peruse and bid on silent auction items. Dinner will be served from 5 to 7 p.m.

Tickets for the dinner are $10 and include all-you-can-eat spaghetti, salad, garlic toast, dessert and beverages, including coffee, punch or water.  Plain marinara sauce will be available as well as meat sauce. Take-outs will be available.

Funds raised will be used for the restoration and maintenance of The Old Rugged Cross Church and Museum. This year’s project is to powerwash and repaint the exterior of the building. The upper level was completed during the winter, leaving just the stonework to be applied to the exterior of the new foundation to complete the restoration, which began in 1998.

The Pokagon United Methodist Church is located at 31393 Kansas St., Pokagon Township, halfway between Niles and Dowagiac, about a quarter mile east of M-51 and one block south of Pokagon Highway.
