BATTLE CREEK — Neither Niles or Edwardsburg advanced to the Division 2 state golf finals next week.

The Vikings finished 11th and Edwardsburg 12th at the regional tournament hosted by Gull Lake at Bedford Valley Golf Club Wednesday.

Gull Lake on the regional championship with a team total of 320. Marshall was second with a 331 and Jackson Northwest third with a 336.

The top three teams, plus the three individuals with the lowest score on a non-qualifying team.

Coldwater’s Cameron Ruge shot 74 to earn medalist honors.

Niles was led by Marcelo Balcazar’s 85, while Edwardsburg was led by Carter Goodson’s 88.
