Bow/spear tournament nets 245 fish

The 2017 Millpond Improvement Association bow/spear fishing tournament was a success.

There were 245 fish caught weighing 624 pounds.

First place went to Stabin Wagon with 108 fish caught weighing 312 pounds. The team consisted of Michael O’Konski and Jason Laymon.

Second place went to Poseidon, which caught 47 fish weighing 138 pounds. That team consisted of Tracy Frye, Steve Juroff and Chad Perrin.

They also took first place for the biggest fish with a carp weighing 7.14 pounds.

Sasquatch Mafia was the third place team. Benjamin Schnepp, Shane Wilcox and Jacob Ashley finished with 36 fish weighing 98 pounds. They also had the smallest fish caught with a sucker weighing 0.22 pounds.

The tournament was held April 21.
