Defending Wolverine Conference champion Otsego may have all but locked up another conference championship at Hampshire Country Club Friday.
The Bulldogs increased their lead to 10 points by winning the final regular season jamboree hosted by Dowagiac.
Otsego shot 154 to easily outdistance runner-up Plainwell, which shot 170. Edwardsburg was third at 171 and Dowagiac 10th with a 197.
In the race for conference medalist, Otsego’s Tyler Rayman traded places with Edwardsburg’s Carter Goodson at the top of the individual standings.
Rayman shot 35 to win medalist honors Friday and moved into first place in the overall standings with a stroke average of 36.100.
Goodson, who entered the day leading the standings, shot 39 and is now second with a stroke average of 36.300.
Dowagiac was led by Drew Phillips, who shot 41.
“Drew had a good night,” Dowagiac coach Bob Turner said. “Everyone else was close to their average. I was hoping for a little better it being our home course and all.”
Edwardsburg will host the conference tournament at Four Lakes Country Club Thursday. Play is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.
