Lakers win BCS golf crown

The Buchanan golf team finished fourth out of 14 schools at the BCS Athletic Conference tournament at Hampshire Country Club Monday.
Lake Michigan Catholic captured the tournament championship with a team total of 351.
White Pigeon and Parchment tied with a score of 364, but the Panthers earned second place based on fifth-man scoring.
Buchanan shot 371, while Cassopolis was eighth with a 401 and Brandywine 11th with a 424.
Jordan Olsen earned medalist honors as the White Pigeon golfer shot 79.
Buchanan’s Austin Lloyd earned top six honors after shooting an 84.
Hunter Tietsort led Cassopolis with an 89 and Matt Probst led Brandywine with a 97.
