Clara Anderson, 83, of Cassopolis, died peacefully Monday, May 15, 2017, at home in the comfort of her family’s presence.
She was born April 19, 1934, in Dowagiac, the youngest of 15 children born to Enos and Alta (Goins) Irving.
She was preceded by her parents and her 14 siblings.
Clara will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her three children, Dale Irving Sr. of Cassopolis, Eugene Riley of Detroit and Loretta Riley of Romeoville, Illinois; six grandchildren, Claude J. Rhodes, Eugene A. Riley, Dale Irving Jr., Delisha Irving, Angela Irving and Daniel Settles; 14 great-grandchildren, Claude M. Rhodes, Keyaira Riley, Dejanay Riley, Dhamon Riley, Chynna Rhodes, Chauncey Halsey, Cornell Puckett, Chaquon Williams, Kevin Williams, Tiffani Wojochowski, Derrick R. Settles, Matthew I. Settles, Danyale T. Settles and Mariah J. Settles; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will gather for a wake from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 20, 2017, at Church of Cassopolis, 520 Pearl St., Cassopolis, with Apostle Christopher J. Pittman officiating. Mrs. Anderson will be laid to rest in Calvin Community Cemetery in Calvin Township.
