Cassopolis offense struggles in both baseball and softball

BRONSON — Visiting Cassopolis dropped a pair of BCS Athletic Conference softball games to Bronson Tuesday.
The Rangers (6-12) were swept 16-1 and 11-1. The first game lasted three innings and the second game five innings.
Cassopolis had just three hits in both games.
Olivia Purlee had a double for the Rangers in the second game.

BRONSON — Visiting Cassopolis was held to six hits as Bronson swept a BCS Athletic Conference baseball doubleheader from Cassopolis Tuesday.
The Rangers were defeated 24-3 in three innings and 12-2 in five innings.
In the nightcap, Caleb Steensma and Luke Baker both doubled for Cassopolis.

Last Thursday, visiting Mendon avenged a loss earlier in the week with a 13-2 victory over the Rangers.
Cassopolis was limited to six hits, including a double by Daniel Young.
