Vikings beat Bearcats for second time in a week

For the second time in a week, the Niles soccer team defeated visiting Battle Creek Central.

This time, the 7-1 victory came in the SMAC Conference Tournament.

The Vikings defeated the Bearcats 6-3 on May 8.

Grace Florkowski had a pair of goals for Niles, which also got goals from Emily Gaines, Mackenzie Hall, Dayleigh Miller, Ashley Thompon and Willow Brawley.

Miller also had a pair of assists.

Other Vikings picking up assists were Gaines, Taylor Haboush, Marisa Kerr, Ashley Parks and Brawley.

Niles will now travel to Kalamazoo for its final tournament match against Kalamazoo Central.
