A shining moment for Dowagiac

We have finely reached our goal to replace the lights on the Dowagiac train depot.

They will be installed in September, and will remain on all year long.

Between the original campaign in 2010 and the latest one this past year, we have raised a combined $13,312.

All I can say is “thank you.” You raised the money to light up the 1903 train depot.

We would like to thank our largest donors:

• Wolverine Mutual Insurance — $19.17 (1917 was the year they started in business). They also sent two other checks, for $1480.83. They contributed $1500 in total.

• Victor & Lisa Shunk — $522

• Michigan Assoc. Of Railroad Passagers — $500

• Cass Co. Railroad Club— $200

Below is a list of people that gave $100:

• Cass Co. Historical Society

• Judd Lumber

• JAC Pouch

• Ausra Equipment

• Town & County Garden Club

• Greg Osborn-State Farm Insurance

• Donna and Bob Schuur

• Dr. Charles and Kathy Burling

• Williams A-1 Tree Service

• Dr. Mathew Cripe

• Imperial Furniture

• Jewell Kelso-Mary Ann Kidman

• Don and Vickie Blackmond

• Dowagiac Area Federal Credit Union

• Victor & Lisa Shunk

Again, thank you for making “ Light Up The Depot” possible.
