Three area chapters with the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution are hosting a workshop for women interested in joining the NSDAR.

The workshop will be from 1 to 4 p.m. May 20 in the community room at the Berrien Springs Library, 215 W. Union St.

The Rebecca Dewey of Three Oaks, Algonquin of Benton Harbor and Captain Samuel Felts chapters will be available to help women ages 18 and older start their applications for membership to this lineage service organization.

The DAR seeks to serve communities through programs and events focused on veterans and current service persons, historic preservation and education, citizenship, and youth and women.

Those interested can set up an appointment through DAR.org  or by contacting Rebecca Dewey at kriegerna@aol.com; Algonquin at migenealogy@live.com  and Samuel Felts at elizabethhertel@att.net to set an appointment for this workshop. Walk-ins are welcome.
