Cass’ Fiala, Niles’ Amberg win two events at Rotary Meet

BENTON HARBOR — Cassopolis’ Sophia Fiala captured the 100- and 300-meter hurdles as the Rotary Invitational track meet Friday night.

Fiala posted times of 13.72 and 48.64 respectively in winning the events.

The Rangers’ Madison Brooks finished second in the shot put with a toss of 33-9, while Tammea NcNeal of Cassopolis was third with a throw of 33-6.

Dowagiac’s top finisher was Tania Wilson, who finished fourth in the 200-mteers with a time of 28.58.

In the boys portion of the meet, Niles’ Conner Amberg won the 100- and 200-meters with times of 11.38 and 23.32 respectively.

The Vikings’ Noah Frantz won the shot put with a throw of 46.1.

Dowagiac’s top finisher was Shawn Little in the 3,200-meters with a time of 10:17.71.
