Roundup: Brandywine swept, Bucks top Bees

BERRIEN SPRINGS — Visiting Brandywine dropped a pair of BCS Athletic Conference baseball games to Berrien Springs Tuesday.
The Shamrocks defeated the Bobcats (7-9-1) 5-4 and 5-1.
In the opening game, Toby Fox took the loss despite allowing two earned runs with six strikeouts and no walks.
Brandywine outhit Berrien Springs 6-5.
JeRod Glenn was 2-for-4. Fox drove in a pair of runs.
In the nightcap, Joey Covyeou suffered the loss. He worked the first three innings, allowing four runs on six this with a pair of strikeouts. Ty Mickiewicz worked the final three innings, giving up no earned runs on one hit with two strikeouts.
The Bobcats had six hits in the contest, including doubles from Fox and Max Douglass, who went 2-for-3 at the plate.
Buchanan baseball
Host Buchanan scored all seven of its runs in the first three innings to edge Bridgman 7-4 in BCS Athletic Conference baseball play Wednesday.
The second game of the doubleheader was postponed due to darkness deadlocked at 2-2.
In the opener, Dalton Riddle pitched into the seventh inning, allowing four earned runs on eight hits with six strikeouts.
Jacob Hoover came on to record the final two outs and earn the save.
The Bucks had 10 hits, led by Chad Adkerson and Brad VanOverberghe, who were both 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Christian Hall had a pair of doubles as the Bucks improved to 7-5 on the season.
