On Sunday, April 9, 2017, Kelly James Donahoe, 62, was called to heaven at his home in Fort Mohave, Arizona, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Kelly was born Aug. 28, 1954, in LaPorte, Indiana, to the late Joseph McLellan and Marcella Marie (Zirzow) Donahoe. He lived his entire life between LaPorte and Niles, until he retired and moved to his home in Arizona in early September 2016.

Mr. Donahoe was a division manager for Hy-Tek Hose & Coupling and served on the Farm Equipment Manufacturers Associates Board of Governors from 1994 to 1998. He was a strong supporter of the community. He served as governor of the LaPorte Moose Lodge from May 1, 1983, to April 31, 1984, became a fellow of the Moose Lodge in 1988, supported and volunteered at VFW Post 9423 in Rolling Prairie, Indiana, and he supported law enforcement.

On May 2, 2010, in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, Kelly married Lisa Jensen-Donahoe. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Scott Donahoe of South Bend, Indiana, and one brother, Patrick (Sharon) Donahoe of Crivitz, Wisconsin.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, brother Thomas Donahoe, sister-in-law Cheryll Donahoe and a grandson, Andrew James Donahoe.

A celebration of life will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2017, at Galveston’s Steakhouse, 10 Commerce Square, Michigan City, Indiana.
