Brandywine blanked crosstown rival Niles in a non-league tennis match on Good Friday.

The Bobcats, who were originally scheduled to host the match, made the short trip across town to Niles High School to play on the Vikings’ newly resurfaced courts.

Brandywine did not drop a set in sweeping Niles 8-0.

The most competitive match of the day came at No. 1 doubles, where Brandywine’s Hanna Martin and Ava Moody defeated Niles’ Sarah Sheperd and Megan Kohlear 7-5 and 6-4.

“For this early in the season, I think we played really well as our doubles are starting to catch up with our singles in experience,” said Brandywine coach Joe Marazita.
