Registration for Lake Michigan College’s fall 2017 semester opens Monday.

Priority registration for veterans began last Thursday.

The fall semester runs Sept. 5 through Dec. 17. The class schedule includes online, evening and weekend classes offered in Allegan, Benton Harbor, Niles and South Haven.

Prospective students may visit lakemichigan.edu/schedule for a complete listing.

Returning LMC students are encouraged to register early to take advantage of the best selection of available courses.

New students can complete the college’s free admissions application at lakemichigancollege.edu/apply and register for classes during student orientation.

All interested students should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid at fafsa.gov using 2015 tax return information. Students who apply early will have the best chance to be considered for a financial aid award. Students at LMC received more than $9.2 million in federal financial aid for the 2015-2016 academic year.

More than $770,000 worth of scholarship money is also available to LMC students by applying at lakemichigancollege.edu/scholarships.

At $102 per contact hour for in-district students and $150 per contact hour for out-of-district students, Lake Michigan College remains the most affordable college option in the area, officials said.

Out-of-district students who live in Beckwith Hall at the college’s Benton Harbor campus can take advantage of in-district tuition rates. Students who are interested in living on campus may apply at lakemichigancollege.edu/live.

Prospective students who are interested in attending Lake Michigan College are invited to tour the Benton Harbor campus on Saturday, May 20, or Saturday, June 17. The tour on each day is held in a group setting, and begins at 11 a.m.

Participants will tour new Hanson Technology Center, Beckwith Hall and other points of interest. They will also learn about degree and certificate programs and steps to apply to Lake Michigan College.

Individual tours are also available to prospective students who are unable to attend the group tours.
