Local players earn spots on BCS all-division squads

Brandywine and Buchanan placed five players on the All-BCS Red Division girls basketball team, which was released recently.

First-team selections for the Bobcats were Zakiyyah Abdullah, Makenna Bowen and Nicole Sachman.

Buchanan’s first team picks were Brooke Wesner and Jayla Bibbs.

Comstock’s Daisy Ansel was named the division’s most valuable player.

Myeshia Mayo and Morgan Zelmer were both named to the honorable mention portion of the squad for the Bucks.

Cassopolis had just one player, Santaja Gibson, earn first-team All-BCS Blue Division honors.

The Rangers’ Ky’ana Buck was an honorable mention selection.
