ST. JOSEPH — All members of the southwest Michigan community are invited to a program on “Understanding Water Quality in Berrien County and Beyond” from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 13, at the Berrien County Democratic Party Offices, 2517 Niles Ave., St. Joseph.
Dr. Ann St. Amand, Ph.D., CLP, president of PhycoTech Inc., will speak and facilitate a question and answer session on this topic.
The focus will be levels of lead in Berrien County water supplies; the general state of water quality in Berrien County for drinking and swimming; the general condition of the Lake Michigan watershed — the lake itself, the rivers and tributaries; state water supply issues; and algae derived food supplements. There will be time for discussion and interaction on these topics.
There is no charge for this program, which is sponsored by the Berrien County Democratic Party.
