Area teams fare well on All-BCS basketball squads

Cassopolis, the BCS Blue Division champion, landed four players on the first team of the all-division squad.

Tyrese Hunt-Thompson,, who averaged 16 points per game with 4.1 rebounds, 4.4 steals and 3.3 assists, was named the division’s most valuable player.

The Rangers also had Shane Los, Kiambu Gary and Xander Smith earn first team all-division honors.

In the BCS Red Division, Brandywine’s Hunter Slaughter was named the MVP.

Vinny Peel and Brady Duval also earned first team honors for the Bobcats, who set a school record by winning its first 17 games of the regular season.

Buchanan’s Dalton Riddle was a first team pick.

Nathan Kemp and Scott Miller represented Brandywine on the honorable mention portion of the team.
